Brine Shrimp Flakes for Fish

Aqua Plus^® Brine Shrimp Fish Flakes Food is a flake-form aquarium feed formulated for routine feeding of ornamental fish. With a crude protein content of 42% and crude fat content of 5%, it provides a protein-focused nutritional profile with a moderate level of dietary fat for everyday aquarium feeding. Protein supplies amino acids required for tissue maintenance, growth, and the renewal of body proteins, while dietary lipids provide a concentrated energy source and support the utilization of fat-soluble nutrients.

Aqua Plus^® The brine shrimp component gives this feed a familiar aquatic-food profile for many ornamental fish. Its flake structure allows the feed to be distributed across the water surface, where surface-feeding and mid-water fish can locate and consume suitable particles. The flakes can also be broken into smaller pieces for fish with smaller mouths, helping improve feed accessibility across different fish sizes.

Routine aquarium maintenance requires a balanced approach that considers fish feeding behavior, portion control, and water quality management. Feed amounts should be adjusted so that the food is consumed within a few minutes, and any uneaten brine shrimp fish flakes must be promptly removed to prevent accumulation or decomposition.
The flake size, buoyancy and dispersion rate upon contact with water influence how the feed is distributed throughout the tank and affect the feeding efficiency of different fish species.

Start with a small portion. Offer only a quantity that the fish can consume within approximately 1–3 minutes, then adjust according to actual feeding behavior.

Match the flake size to the fish. Crumble larger flakes for small-mouthed species and avoid forcing fish to swallow oversized pieces.

Observe feeding response. If fish repeatedly reject the feed, check water conditions, fish health, and whether the feed format matches their normal feeding behavior.
