Marine Flakes for Fish

Aqua Plus^® Marine Flakes for Fish is a flake style feed developed for routine feeding of suitable marine aquarium fish. The thin, lightweight flakes are easy to portion and can be offered in small amounts throughout the day. For aquarium keepers, the main advantage of flake food is its convenience. It can be added directly to the aquarium without thawing, soaking or preparing a separate mixture before every feeding.

With 42% crude protein and 6% crude fat, this formula provides a protein-focused nutritional profile with a defined source of dietary energy. Protein supplies amino acids needed for tissue maintenance, muscle development, and normal growth.

For fish that are actively growing or maintaining body condition, an adequate supply of digestible protein is an important part of the daily diet.

Marine Flakes for Fish may be suitable for marine aquarium species that readily accept prepared flakes.

Clownfish: Commonly kept marine aquarium fish that may accept suitable prepared flakes as part of their regular feeding routine.

Damselfish: Many species readily feed on prepared aquarium foods, although the exact diet should reflect the species.

Dwarf angelfish: May accept flakes as one component of a varied diet. Some species also require attention to their particular grazing and feeding habits.

Small fish (e.g., clownfish, chromis): A pinch of flakes 1- 2x daily

Medium fish (e.g., dwarf angels, wrasses): 2-3 flakes per fish, 2x daily

Large fish (e.g., tangs, triggers): 4-5 flakes per fish, 2x daily

Tip: Feed only what your fish can consume in 2-3 minutes to avoid overfeeding.

Feeding Techniques

For Surface Feeders: Sprinkle flakes lightly on the water's surface.

For Mid-Water Feeders: Allow flakes to sink slightly before fish consume them.

For Shy Fish: Turn off pumps briefly to prevent food from being swept away.
