Aqua Plus® Algae Tablets are made from spirulina and multiple algae sources, pressed into tablet form through low-temperature drying. The amino acid profile covers the daily needs of herbivorous and omnivorous fish. Astaxanthin and carotenoids deposit gradually through metabolism, supporting colour maintenance without artificial pigments.
Tablet Form and Feeding Adaptation
Spirulina Tablets can be attached to the tank wall or allowed to sink. Fish need to apply sustained biting force during feeding, which exercises jaw muscles more directly than loose feed. The tablets hold their shape in water without breaking apart quickly, making leftovers easy to spot and remove. This suits bottom-dwelling species such as plecos and corydoras.
Water Quality and Daily Use
Algae Discs should be fed once or twice daily, with each portion completely consumed within two to three hours. Algae Wafers should be kept sealed away from moisture after opening. Damp conditions reduce adhesion but do not affect safety. The same tablets work across stages, reducing feeding fluctuations caused by frequent diet changes.
