Aqua Plus® Freeze Dried Bloodworms are produced from farm-raised Chironomidae larvae, avoiding batch inconsistency and pathogen risks from wild harvesting. The freeze-drying process removes moisture at low temperatures, preserving protein structure and fatty acid composition. Unlike heat-dried products, rehydrated freeze-dried worms restore texture close to fresh state, allowing fish to recognise the food by smell and texture. No preservatives or artificial additives are used.
Freeze Dried Bloodworms Fish Food deliver crude protein above 60%, with fat content between 8% and 12%. The amino acid profile covers methionine, lysine, and arginine, meeting daily needs of carnivorous and omnivorous fish. Natural carotenoids support pigment deposition, with consistent feeding supporting colour stability over time. FD Bloodworms suit tropical fish (bettas, discus, guppies), goldfish, koi, and marine species (clownfish, blue tang), with protein levels higher than most commercial pellets and flakes, suitable as a primary feed or supplement in mixed feeding regimes.
