The production of Aqua Plus® FD River Shrimp begins with carefully chosen fresh river shrimp, known for their firm flesh and clean appearance. Freeze-drying is applied to Aqua Plus® FD River Shrimp, removing moisture at low temperatures to prevent the nutrient degradation often seen with high-heat drying. After processing, FD River Shrimp keeps its natural colour and gives off a subtle scent that fish find attractive. FD River Shrimp takes only a short time to rehydrate, and its texture then resembles that of fresh river shrimp. No synthetic preservatives, hormones, or colourings are used in making FD River Shrimp.

Freeze-Dried river shrimp contains at least 65% crude protein, with most of it coming from muscle and shell proteins that fish and many crustaceans process without much difficulty. Freeze-Dried river shrimp also carries natural astaxanthin, which helps red and orange-toned fish hold their colour longer and more consistently. On top of that, Freeze-Dried river shrimp provides a balanced Omega-3 to Omega-6 ratio that keeps metabolism running steadily and supports immune function. You can feed freeze dried river shrimp whole, crush it into smaller pieces, or soak it in tank water for 1 to 2 minutes before feeding to improve digestibility.
