Products Introduction

Aqua Plus frozen rotifer

Aqua Plus® Frozen Rotifer is a premium-grade, nutrient-dense micro-food specially developed for the delicate dietary requirements of marine and freshwater fish larvae, juvenile specimens, and adult species that prefer small-particle prey. Cultivated under strictly controlled conditions and flash-frozen to preserve maximum nutritional integrity, our rotifers deliver a natural, live-food feeding response without the biosecurity risks associated with live cultures. Rich in proteins, DHA/EPA omega-3 fatty acids, and natural astaxanthin, this product supports rapid larval development, enhances vibrant coloration, stimulates natural hunting instincts.

• Ideal First Food: Microscopic size (50-200 microns) perfectly suited for fish larvae and fry with tiny mouths.
• Nutrient-Dense Profile: Rich in protein, DHA/EPA omega-3s, and astaxanthin for growth, coloration, and immunity.
• Safe & Biosecure: Pathogen-free frozen format eliminates parasite and bacterial risks common in live cultures.
• Versatile Application: Suitable for marine fish, freshwater fry, corals, and filter-feeding invertebrates.

Storage & Shelf Life

Aqua Plus® Frozen Rotifer should be kept in a freezer at -18°C (0°F) or below at all times. The flash-freezing technology employed immediately after harvest locks in all nutritional compounds-proteins, lipids, vitamins, and pigments-ensuring the product retains its full biological value until the moment of feeding.

When stored unopened under consistent freezing conditions, our rotifers maintain peak quality for up to 24 months. Once thawed, use the entire portion and discard any surplus. Never refreeze thawed rotifers, as repeated temperature fluctuations degrade cellular structure, deplete nutrient content, and increase the risk of bacterial proliferation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I feed frozen rotifers to adult fish?

A: Yes, but they are most beneficial for larval and juvenile fish due to their small size. Adults may prefer larger foods like brine shrimp or mysis.

Q: How do I ensure my fish get enough nutrients from rotifers?

A: Rotifers alone may not be sufficient for long-term growth. Supplement with other frozen foods, pellets, or vitamin-enriched brine shrimp.

Q: Are frozen rotifers safe for reef tanks?

A: Absolutely! They are excellent for corals, feather dusters, and other filter feeders.

Q: Can I culture my own rotifers instead of buying frozen?

A: Yes, but it requires algae cultures, proper salinity, and maintenance. Frozen rotifers provide a hassle-free alternative.

Q: Do rotifers improve fish breeding success?

A: Yes! Many breeders use rotifers as a first food for fry, significantly increasing survival rates.

Q: How much should I feed per session?

A: Start with a small pinch and observe consumption. Adjust based on your fish's appetite.
