Stage-Specific Nutritional Foundation
Aqua Plus® PL+150 Microencapsulated Feed is developed around the feeding capacity and nutritional demands of shrimp at early PL1 - 5 stages. The 150 micron particle size matches the mouth gap at this phase, post larvae eat it without extra effort. Microencapsulation technology encloses high concentration marine proteins, highly unsaturated fatty acids, and immune enhancers within stable capsule walls. The feed releases nutrients slowly in water with minimal leaching, ensuring good absorption. The formula is rich in marine animal proteins, with boosted HUFA to support early rapid growth and health conditioning.
Water Performance
This PL+150 microencapsulated feed suspends evenly in the water column upon entry, with no clumping or excessive sinking, mimicking how live prey distributes in the water. The capsule walls stay stable in seawater for hours without breaking apart, so residual feed stays low and you can cut down on water exchange and filter cleaning. The particles stay suspended rather than dropping to the bottom – early post larvae have limited swimming ability, so they don't waste energy chasing and put more into growth.
Feeding Guidelines & Storage
For PL1 - 3 stages, start by feeding alongside live Artemia and gradually increase the microencapsulated feed ratio. A full switch usually takes 3 to 5 days. From PL4 - 5 onwards, you can replace live prey entirely with this feed. Feed 4 - 6 times daily in small amounts, with each portion consumed within 30 - 60 minutes. Store in sealed packaging at room temperature away from light, and use promptly after opening.
