Aqua Plus® Liquid Fermented Astaxanthin is derived from Phaffia rhodozyma, a yeast that produces high levels of astaxanthin through fermentation. Fermentation is carried out in closed fermenters, with temperature, pH, and nutrient supply maintained by a control system. Harvested yeast cells are concentrated and washed to remove fermentation medium residues. Cell disruption is performed using high-pressure homogenisation at low temperatures, with breakage rates above 95% and stable astaxanthin release maintained throughout the process.
Liquid Astaxanthin Aquarium Supplement is extracted by supercritical solvent-assisted extraction, then purified via column chromatography to remove non-target carotenoids and lipids, yielding >85% astaxanthin monomers. Microencapsulation ensures particle suspension. Before bottling, Liquid Astaxanthin Color Enhancing is homogenised to keep particle size below 1 micron for uniform consistency.
Natural Liquid Astaxanthin is tested for astaxanthin content, heavy metals, and microbial indicators before release, with retained samples linked to production batches. Clear Water Liquid Astaxanthin is dosed once daily by direct addition to water, with portion size adjusted based on fish population and tank volume. Refrigerate after opening, with activity and colour stability maintained throughout shelf life.
