Stage-Specific Nutritional Foundation
Aqua Plus® Zoea Microencapsulated Feed is developed around the feeding behavior and nutritional demands of shrimp at the Zoea stage. Zoea larvae have extremely small mouth gaps and feed mainly on suspended particles in the water column. They need fine particle sizes and good suspension. Microencapsulation technology encloses high concentration marine proteins, highly unsaturated fatty acids, and immune enhancers within stable capsule walls. The feed releases nutrients slowly in water with minimal leaching, ensuring each pellet is fully consumed. The formula is rich in marine animal proteins, with boosted unsaturated fatty acids to support smooth molting and metamorphosis.
Water Performance
This Zoea microencapsulated feed forms an even suspension in the water column upon entry, with no clumping or excessive settling. It mimics the distribution of microalgae and protozoa in the water, which is a perfect match for Zoea filter feeding behavior. The capsule walls stay stable in seawater for hours without breaking apart. This controls nutrient leaching and reduces water pollution from residual feed. Larvae don't waste energy chasing feed. They can put more energy into development and molting.
Feeding Guidelines & Storage
Feed 4 to 6 times daily in small amounts, with each portion sufficient to fill the larval digestive tract. Can be used alongside microalgae or live prey to help larvae adapt to formulated feed. Later stages can transition smoothly to Mysis stage feeds. Store in sealed packaging at room temperature away from light, and use promptly after opening.
