Products Description

Aqua Plus® Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp Eggs are sourced from Utah's Great Salt Lake, where the water's unique salinity and mineral composition result in denser, more viable cysts than those produced in most farmed settings. After collection, the cysts are mechanically cleaned and separated by density to eliminate empty shells and unwanted particles. A low-temperature drying process then reduces moisture content to a level that allows extended storage without quality loss. The product is packed in vacuum-sealed cans with oxygen absorbers, which maintain its condition for more than five years when kept in a cool, dry environment.
Under typical hatchery conditions, GSL Brine Shrimp Eggs deliver hatch rates exceeding 90%, with incubation periods falling between 18 and 24 hours depending on temperature and salinity levels. The uniformity of hatching directly determines nauplii size consistency, which in turn affects how successfully fry feed during their early weaning phase. Newly hatched nauplii offer peak nutritional value within the first few hours post-hatch, containing 60% to 65% protein and 20% to 25% lipids. As time passes, these internal nutrient stores deplete, making the timing of feeding critical for early survival. Compared to standard products, High Hatch Rate Brine Shrimp Eggs demonstrate superior synchronisation, leaving fewer unhatched cysts after incubation.

GSL Artemia Cysts require stable conditions for hatching: salinity 25 to 35ppt, temperature 28 to 30°C, pH 8.0 to 8.5, continuous illumination at 2000 lux, and dissolved oxygen above 5mg/L. Stocking density should be kept at 1 to 2 grams per litre. Exceeding this range affects oxygen levels and synchronisation. Decapsulation reduces hatching time to 12 to 16 hours, but decapsulated cysts are less stable during storage and are not suitable for bulk pre-treatment. Aquaculture Feed is suitable for shrimp, fish, and crustacean larval rearing, as well as ornamental fish breeding. Nauplii can be fed immediately after hatching without additional processing.
