Products Description

Aqua Plus® GSL Brine Shrimp Eggs are harvested from the Great Salt Lake in Utah, USA. The salinity and mineral structure of this region produce cysts with higher density and hatch performance than most cultured sources. After harvest, the cysts go through mechanical cleaning and density separation to remove empty shells and debris.
Low-temperature dehydration brings moisture down to levels suitable for long-term storage. Vacuum-sealed cans with oxygen absorbers keep the product stable for over five years under dry, cool conditions. Each batch is tested for hatch rate and pathogens before release.
GSL Brine Shrimp Eggs achieve hatch rates above 90% under standard conditions, with hatching time ranging from 18 to 24 hours depending on actual temperature and salinity settings. The degree of synchronous hatching affects the size distribution of nauplii. Higher uniformity leads to more stable feeding success during the fry weaning stage.
Nutritionally, nauplii are most nutrient-dense within the first few hours after hatching. As time passes, internal nutrient reserves are gradually consumed, and the timing of the feeding window directly affects early survival rates.

Salt Lake Artemia Cysts can serve as a partial substitute for live feeds such as Artemia (brine shrimp) and rotifers. They are suitable for rearing shrimp larvae and for the daily feeding of small adult specimens. For optimal results, it is recommended to feed small amounts multiple times a day.
Packaged in moisture-proof containers, this feed can be conveniently stored at room temperature, making it ideal for use in hatcheries.

FAQ
Q: What is the shelf life of Optimized Quality Salt Lake Artemia Cysts?
A: When stored in a cool (4°C), dry, and airtight environment, our cysts remain viable for ≥5 years. Avoid moisture and temperature fluctuations.
Q: How can I maximize hatch rates?
A: Ensure optimal salinity (30 ppt), temperature (28–30°C), strong aeration and light exposure. Poor hatching is often due to improper conditions rather than cyst quality.
Q: Are these cysts suitable for marine and freshwater species?
A: Yes. While Artemia nauplii naturally thrive in saline water, they are widely used in freshwater aquaculture after rinsing.
Q: Why choose our products?
A: With superior quality and competitive pricing, We sincerely look forward to collaborating with you.
