Aqua Plus® Turtle Sticks Food is a stick-form feed intended for routine feeding of aquatic and semi-aquatic turtles, subject to the nutritional requirements of the species and the product's complete formulation.
With a stated crude protein content of 30% and crude fat content of 4%, it provides a defined combination of dietary protein and lipids for use in a managed feeding program.
Protein is an important dietary component for turtles because it supplies amino acids used in tissue maintenance, muscle development, enzyme production and normal growth. Protein requirements are not identical across all turtles. Young, actively growing turtles often have different dietary needs from mature adults, while carnivorous and omnivorous species may differ in their preferred nutrient sources.
The stick format is practical for portioning and observing feeding behavior, particularly when used with aquatic turtles that readily accept prepared stick feeds. If the sticks float, they can make feeding easier to monitor and allow uneaten portions to be removed from the water.
Turtle sticks should be stored in their original sealed container or transferred to a clean, airtight container and kept in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity. Moisture can affect the texture of the sticks and accelerate quality deterioration during storage.
Use dry hands or clean, dry utensils when dispensing the food. Secure the lid promptly after each use, and do not return moisture-affected food or any leftover food that has come into contact with the tank water to the container.
Feeding Instructions
Adjust feeding quantity flexibly based on the quantity, size and age of turtles. The recommended feeding frequency is 1 to 2 times daily. Put the turtle sticks on basking platforms or shallow water zones within easy reach of turtles. Observe feeding status regularly. The optimal standard is to finish all food within 15–20 minutes. Excess feed left in water will spoil rapidly and pollute water quality, so overfeeding should be avoided.
