Microencapsulated PL400 Shrimp Feed

Aqua Plus® Microencapsulated PL400 Shrimp Feed is built around what PL15-20 shrimp actually need in terms of feeding ability and nutrition. The 400 micron size fits their mouth gap nicely, so they grab it with their maxillipeds and tear it apart piece by piece, feeding faster with less effort. Microencapsulation locks in high levels of marine proteins, highly unsaturated fatty acids, and immune boosters inside stable capsule walls. Once in the water, nutrients come out slowly instead of leaking out quickly, so the shrimp actually absorb most of what they eat. In addition, the formula includes highly digestible, high-quality proteins and HUFA, which promote growth and help keep shrimp in top condition throughout this critical developmental stage.

This PL micro diet disperses evenly as soon as it hits the water, with no clumping or fast sinking. It stays suspended like natural live prey, which makes it easier for post larvae to spot and capture. The capsule structure holds up well in seawater for hours, so there's less uneaten feed left behind. That means fewer water changes and less time spent on filter upkeep. The pellets don't drop straight to the bottom – they linger in the water column, giving shrimp more time to feed. Even when some particles do drift down slowly, the capsules stay intact, so post larvae can still pick them off the tank floor with no loss in quality or nutrition.

Can be used as a direct replacement or partial substitute for Artemia nauplii. At PL15-20 stages, shrimp adapt readily to formulated feed. A 2-to-3-day gradual transition to exclusive formulated feed is recommended. Feed 4-6 times daily in small amounts, with each portion consumed within 30-60 minutes. Store in sealed packaging at room temperature away from light, and use promptly after opening.
